Dear Friends, Backers, and Supporters,

First and foremost, thank you! Your belief in FlexyWing and your early support mean more than words can express. You’ve helped shape this project from day one, and we are profoundly grateful.

After careful consideration, and driven by lessons learned, we’ve decided to take down our Kickstarter campaign for now. This isn't the outcome any of us hoped for, but there is value in stepping back, regrouping, and building stronger foundations for what comes next.

Why We’re Pausing Now

We didn’t gain the traction we needed and we were blown off course by desert winds, but the data and feedback from this experience are invaluable.

Instead of pushing forward underprepared, we want to act strategically and purposefully in our next phase.

What We Learned and What We’re Doing

We’ll be deeply reviewing feedback.

Every comment, message, and question is being cataloged.

We’ll analyze what resonated and where clarity or positioning may have fallen short

We’re revisiting our marketing and audience approach

Limited outreach and social visibility are common obstacles, even for thoughtful creators.

We aim to rebuild with intention

Our tasks include:

  • refining rewards
  • setting realistic goals
  • enhancing storytelling
  • strengthening email and social campaigns...especially in preparation for launch day

We will relaunch! 🚀

When the time comes, we want to be better prepared and we hope you’ll be part of it.

Please sign up for our Flight Log to stay connected and receive updates on our progress and new projects!

In Closing

This setback is not the end, it’s a recalibration. We are committed to doing things smarter, better, and more collaboratively. Your support remains the heart of this project, and we’re honored to move forward together.

Thank you for believing in FlexyWing, for sticking with us, and for everything still to come.

With gratitude and determination,

Tautvydas & the FlexyWing Team

When you live life on the move across countries, trails, and terminals, rest isn’t a luxury. It’s survival. That’s why we built something for the wild-hearted travelers. Those who find themselves under the stars or sleeping on the go. A rugged, travel-ready hoodie that transforms into a reliable neck pillow and back again. The secret? A built-in dual zipper system that locks the rolled fabric into place. No straps. No additional complicated nonsense. Want to go even smaller? Collapse the whole hoodie into the hood and snap it tight — now it’s a compact, soft pillow for your hammock, tent, or bus ride.

Tested around the world during my second circumnavigation: Lithuania -> Netherlands -> China -> New Zealand -> Australia -> USA -> France -> Germany -> Poland -> ...

This all started after a night stuck at an airport floor with nothing but my hoodie and a backpack. I twisted it, folded it, tried everything. That’s when I thought: what if the hoodie was the pillow? After dozens of field tests, prototypes, and camping trips… we landed on this.

Roll the hoodie – connect the zipper – wrap it around your neck.

Neck pillow mode helps you rest easily on the move — from long flights to quick naps.

Design and principles

The FlexyWing Travel Hoodie was designed following the 10 timeless principles of good design by Dieter Rams
— the same philosophy behind some of the world’s most iconic and unforgettable products.

1. Good design is innovative

We didn’t invent the hoodie — but we reimagined what it could do, combining everyday comfort with multi-functional travel features.

2. Good design makes a product useful

Every part of the hoodie serves a real purpose: warmth, rest, compact storage. No extras, just what travelers truly need.

3. Good design is aesthetic

We kept it minimal, neutral, and clean — so it fits in anywhere, from airports and trains to mountains and city streets.

4. Good design makes a product understandable

You don’t need a manual. Zip it. Fold it. Wear it. Each function is intuitive and easy to use.

5. Good design is unobtrusive

This hoodie blends in. It supports your style, doesn’t scream for attention, and fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

6. Good design is honest

No fake features or exaggerated promises. What you see is exactly what you get — and it delivers.

7. Good design is long-lasting

Made to travel far, and stay comfortable — not just for one trip or one season.

8. Good design is thorough down to the last detail

Every design feature was thoughtfully placed. Nothing was left to chance.

9. Good design is environmentally friendly

As part of our stretch goals, we aim to use sustainable materials!!!! — because design should respect both people and the planet.

10. Good design is as little design as possible

We removed the unnecessary to focus on what matters. Simple. Essential. Nothing more.

Colours – The first hoodies will be available in Grey and Black

We’ll add more colours later as we reach our stretch goals. You will be able to choose the colour in the survey in the end of the campaign

Sizes & Fit - Our travel hoodies come in unisex sizes.

Use this size chart to find the best fit for your body.

The hoodies featured in the photos are real-world-tested prototypes, very close to final production form. We’ve selected manufacturing partners, and depending on the outcome of the campaign, some small refinements may be made — especially as we scale and source materials.

Your support helps fund tooling, patterning, and production setup. We’re committed to delivering the best possible version of the hoodie and will share updates throughout the process.

Thank you for your support,
